On May 23, 2024 Alfred (Al) Temple (Temp) Blackburn, Jr., 82, formally of Sinking Springs, PA, passed away due to complications from a stroke, at Bridges by EPOCH, Mashpee, MA. Al is predeceased by his parents Alfred T. Blackburn and Elizabeth Blackburn (Seale) of Cincinnati, OH and his wife Beth E. Blackburn (Hollo). Al is survived by his sister Ann Bjornson of Cincinnati, OH, children Bethany Blackburn Davis and Alfred Temple Blackburn, III both of Cape Cod, MA; his stepdaughter, Lisa G. Robertson; four grandchildren; Summer Fierro, Shelby Fierro, Ethan Blackburn and Iroh Blackburn, and two great grandchildren; Judah Robinson and Ezekiel Robinson.
Al graduated from Walnut Hill High school in 1960 and Northwestern University in 1964 as a marketing major with his degree in business. He traveled to New York City, meeting his first wife, and started his family.
Al had a successful career working for major corporations such as Bristol Meyers Squibb, Smith Corona, Berol, Gillette and Valley Forge Flags. He loved his children and grandchildren, enjoyed driving buckets of golf balls with his daughter and fishing with his son and grandson.
Al was a great conversationalist and had a passion for photography. We are so incredibly sad about his passing; he will be sorely missed by those who loved him. Private services will be held at a later date.
