Fred J. Young, a Mullan resident, recently passed away at age 68.

Fred attended Wittenberg University and was a University of Cincinnati graduate. He also attended Northwestern Law School. His career was primarily in the banking industry and took him to California, Washington, Alaska and Idaho. He had been retired in Mullan for several years.

Suvivors include a brother, Robert, his wife, Deborah, from Hendersonville, N.C., and two nephews residing in New York and Plainwell, Michigan.
