Milton Schloss

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Milt Schloss Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away at the age of 79. Milt was born on September 3, 1942, to Milton J. Schloss and. Mary T. Schloss. A lifelong native of Cincinnati Ohio, Milt was a graduate from Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati. Milt started his business career at E. Kahn’s and Sons in 1956 working summers throughout High School and College. His talent for numbers landed him in accounting and then he rose through the ranks of Inventory Management and Distribution. He worked for Kahn’s and Hillshire Farm until 1995 and then worked for John Morrell. His incredible attention to detail, numbers, statistics, and customer service enabled him to rise to Vice President of Inventory Management and Customer Service. His career in the food business lasted for over forty years. Milt married Barbara Wimberg on August 21, 2008. Barbara predeceased Milt, leaving a huge void in his heart. Milt loved sports, all sports. His extraordinary mind made him a fountain of information about any team, any player in any sport. His highlight in playing sports was attending the Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Camp. Milt holds a camp-leading batting average of 1000. He also won the University of Cincinnati Intramural Free Throw Championship. Milt hosted a radio show on WLW for a couple of years called the Milt Curtis Show. The Curtis came from the fact that the producer could not pronounce Schloss. Milt was an avid reader of all thing’s sports. Milt was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. He spoiled all his nieces, nephews, daughter, and granddaughter with gifts galore. He attended most of all sporting events that his little relatives were participating in, no matter what the weather. Milt was preceded in death by his father Milton, his mother Mary, his brother Bert, and his wife Barbara. He leaves daughter Lisa Mullur and her husband Venkat and their daughter Marisa; his brother James D. (Sarah); nephews J.D Schloss, Brad (Kelly); niece Kim Bittle ( Dan) and their children Dallas Schloss, Rya, and Cora Bittle. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Weil/Kahn Funeral Home 8350 Cornell Road Cincinnati Ohio at 11:00 AM. Donations may be sent to Easter Seals or Our Daily Bread.
